CFHY January Athlete of the Month: Eduardo!

The CrossFit Hyannis Athlete of the Month for January is Eduardo Netto.  Eduardo is a faithful member of the 5:30am crew, and is regularly at the gym in his “Cowboy Cadillac” by a little past 5:00am.  He’s generally the first athlete in the door and begins mobilizing and crushing the warm up immediately.  Over the holidays Eduardo attended more classes at CFHY than any other athlete, and it shows through the progress that he is making.  He also regularly comes to open gym on the weekends to work on his skills and put the work in to continue to get better each day.

Over the last several months all of the time and hard work Eduardo has put in have led to improvement in all of his lifts and in workouts.  He has also spent additional time dialing in his form on those lifts and movements he has struggled with, such as overhead squats and toes to bar.  It is easy to see that he is willing to put in the hard work necessary to see progress, and doesn’t shy away from his perceived weaknesses and “goats.”

Eduardo is also a great teammate to his morning crew, encouraging them and pushing those around him.  He takes coaching well and has a clear desire to better himself and encourage those around him.  As one of the first people in the door at CrossFit Hyannis each morning, Eduardo sets the tone early in the day that great things are going to happen at CFHY, and reaffirms the notion that becoming better each day can be a reality if you’re willing to work for it.
