 CFHY October Athlete of the Month!!!

The CrossFit Hyannis Athlete of the month for October is the one and only Lynn Ellinwood! Lynn is a dedicated member of the 5:30am crew, and has been with us since the very first day we opened.  Each day Lynn pushes her limits and has seen great progress due to her consistency and intensity.  Each morning, before the sun comes up, she arrives at CrossFit Hyannis ready to attack the workout.

In the ten months since being a member at CrossFit Hyannis, I have never heard Lynn complain once- not about the WOD, her soreness, the number of reps or rounds, that a workout was too hard, or even that someone stole her jump rope!   Imagine that?  Ten months, 3-5 days a week at 5:30 IN THE MORNING- and she has never complained.  Unlike many CrossFitters, Lynn doesn’t look at the WOD before she comes in; no matter what it is, she comes in and attacks it with a persistent approach and a positive attitude- there is no quit in her.  In ten months Lynn has finished EVERY workout she started, even if it means being the last one to yell “time.”  She presses on, determined to conquer each WOD and get better every day.  She pays attention to form, and isn’t afraid to put a little weight on the bar.  Lynn reminds us all of a trait that many successful athletes and people have: focus on what you can control, and don’t waste time worrying about what you cannot control.   I am so glad that Lynn decided to walk into our doors ten months ago, and am grateful that she has been walking in nearly every day since.  Congratulations to Lynn Ellinwood for being the CrossFit Hyannis October Athlete of the Month!
