Jack and The Maltz Challenge




Today’s a great chance to fight for your name on the Heroes board and more importantly honor a fallen hero.  Remember in order for your name to be on the board you must go RX and have one of the top five times in the gym.

Army Staff Sgt. Jack M. Martin III, 26, of Bethany, Oklahoma, assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group, Fort Lewis, Wash., died September 29th, 2009, in Jolo Island, Philippines, from the detonation of an improvised explosive device. Martin is survived by his wife Ashley Martin, his parents Jack and Cheryl Martin, and siblings Abe, Mandi, Amber and Abi.


Maltz Challenge

CrossFit Hyannis will be hosting the Maltz Challenge to honor Nicholas G. Xiarhos and all other heroes who have been KIA serving our country.  The event will take place on the morning of Saturday, March 24th.  If you would like to participate please let Katie know and you will be placed in a heat.  The event is open to the public, so feel free to invite your friends to participate in the workout or to come be spectators/ supporters.  Look under the Events section for more details.

Leading up to the Maltz Challenge, there will be a “Maltz Bonus” posted on the board.  Feel free to tackle the Bonus before or after the WOD for a little extra preparation.
