CrossFit Hyannis Athlete of the Month!!!

I am proud to announce that September’s CrossFit Hyannis Athlete of the Month is Robin Callaghan.  Robin is an athlete who has committed to being at the gym Monday-Friday at the 6:30pm class, despite her hour commute to and from work each day.  Everyday she takes on the WOD with and unconquerable spirit, battling it out and “embracing the suck” of each and every workout.  She exemplifies our motto of “getting better every day.”

Over the last month she has made a commitment to go outside of her comfort zone.  While still having her primary focus on form, she has pushed her limits by putting more weight on the barbell, picking up heavier kettlebells, and ferociously attacking double unders.  She has committed to dialing in her nutrition, taking on the LuRong Living National Paleo Challenge, and even giving up those wonderful Quest bars!  She decided to do all of the Paleo Challenge WODs RX, hitting them with an indomitable spirit.  Finally, and perhaps most inspiring, is that Robin competed in The Garage Games at CrossFit Providence in the Eye of the Storm Competition.  Putting yourself out there in a competition is to be admired.  Not knowing the WODs, being judged on EVERY rep, and pushing your limits can be scary but it allows you to go beyond what you thought was possible.  Robin competed with heart, fire, and passion- never giving up even when the WODs were tough!  She tackled six WODs in two days, completing all of them and making us proud!  It’s been great to see Robin’s progress, and I look forward to seeing her to continue to grow and excel as a CrossFitter!

Robin rowing like a pro!!!

35lb kettlebell? No problem for Robin!
